Volunteer

Family engagement is one of the most powerful predictors of kids’ success at school! You don’t need any experience to volunteer, just a passion for Adams students!

Take the Family Five-Hour Pledge this year! Five hours of volunteering from every family will create a vibrant school community and promote learning success for every student at Adams. There are volunteer opportunities that match your interests and schedule. Grandparents, older siblings, and other family members are encouraged and welcomed to volunteer!

Immediate Needs

  • Adams PTO in-person events, including Adams Fall Fest 2023 and the upcoming book fair (stay tuned).
  • Do you have web design experience? We will need your help this upcoming year as the child of our current parent volunteer will be graduating at the end of this school year. Email info@adamspto.org if you’re interested in learning more.

Ongoing Opportunities During the School Year

Anytime: Helping and supporting your child at home is the most valuable thing you do every day. For guidance on how to best support your child’s learning at home, talk to your child’s teacher or school leaders Dr. Jude Vales and Geoff Freeman. If you have concerns, Adams PTO is here to help too! Email us with questions and ideas.

Evening Opportunities: Attend PTO meetings and volunteer at a PTO event. Upcoming meetings and events will be posted on the calendar.

Weekday Opportunities: Drop off snacks for Adams teachers and staff or talk to your child’s teacher about ways you can support learning in your child’s classroom.

Helping from home: If you have time at home, but it is difficult for you to come to school during the day or evening, you can help! Email info@adamspto.org to tell us your interests and availability.

Leadership Opportunities: Become a PTO officer or attend an upcoming PTO meeting to meet other parents and help plan fundraising, events, and advocacy throughout the year. Email info@adamspto.org to find out more!

Thank you to all of our volunteers!
